Bemsee and MRO returned to Brands Hatch at the weekend and the fantastic GP circuit was open.

The paddock was greeted by great weather than continued throughout the weekend. For many riders this was going to be the last round of the season and several titles were still open until the last race!
The Forza extreme and Stocksport championship was already sewn up by the unstoppable Steve Mercer and another clean sheet saw him winning the championship by several hundred points! He was extremely pleased to be wearing the no 1 on his bike for the last round. A unfortunate incident on Saturday afternoon saw four riders in paddock hill at the start of the race, Freddy Godwin, having stepped up from Rookie 600 was airlifted to hospital but was later back in the paddock in reasonable spirits with a few broken bones! [Mercer-Forza]
Steve Mercer continued to maintain his storm into the last few rounds of Powerbike, however it was just too late as Paul Barron had this one sewn up and he was proudly wearing his no. 1 for the last Powerbike round. [Barron-no1]Once again Steve Mercer won a special trophy. The Vince Bennett trophy is presented as a memory of Vince Bennett. Champion of Brands is at the end of the month, Steve will be there trying to take another title from Zak (now retired). You can expect to see Steve in BSB next year as he starts his campaign in British Supersport
Phil Seaton is now MRO600 supersport Champion, with some phenomenal riding on his Seton tuned R6 breaking the lap record in race 1,however Andy Weymouth was to beat it again on Race 3 and complete a circuit in 1:32.9 on a Standard R6 on only his second outing of the season, why Andy cannot get a Ride is shocking. Grahame Frear took 2nd in the championship and Ross Walter after having a great 2nd half of the season took 3rd in the championship on his Interserve/T-3 Racing Triumph Daytona 675.
Greville Ball was favourite to take the Supersport 400 championship, however a few recent crashes have reduced the lead. Tim Jones and Nick Lewis pushed hard to try and take the title, but a steady ride saw Greville amass enough points to secure the title!
The Minitwins championships saw some great racing again and congratulations to Keith Clarke, David Firmin and Barry Dunstan for winning the Dyna Pro, Clubman and Rookie MiniTwins championships respectively.
